Just ran a ten minute mile. I feel like I’ve really made progress from when I first started but I’ve also gotten way out of shape from where I was two months ago. But I’m determined to kick ass this summer. And hopefully I’ll be posting on here more. So woohoo!
So yesterday I signed up for a 10k! It’s in 3 weeks and I officially start training tomorrow! I’m going to try to work out my training so that the race will fit in with my training plan to run a half marathon in 10 weeks. And luckily I think it might work out perfectly with the half marathon I have in mind. It’s so crazy because if you had told me at the beginning of this year that I would be signing up for half marathons I would have taken you to the doctor to get your head checked out. I am so excited and just really proud of myself for actually doing it! And I’ve decided to start swimming as my cross-training. I used to swim when I was little and always loved it so I’m hoping it will be an activity that I still enjoy. My uncle wants me to start doing triathlons! I’m not quite sure if I’ll get there but who knows!
It does not matter how slow you go so long as you do not stop.
